Good bye, Klüser 2

Galerie Klüser 2
After more than 20 years, we will be saying goodbye to the premises in Türkenstraße at the end of May. In future, all our exhibitions will be shown in the gallery in Georgenstraße. This decision has not been easy for us. Its proximity to the city’s museums, beautiful glass façade, and the chance to exhibit large-format paintings and heavy sculptures have always made Galerie Klüser 2 a welcome addition to our main rooms at 15 Georgenstraße. The reasons for this change are the expiry of our long-term but temporary lease, as well as the reconstruction of the rear building, which means that rubble containers, cranes and other machines will largely hide the gallery’s frontage for the foreseeable future. We remember with pleasure the solo exhibitions here featuring works by Joseph Beuys, Andy Warhol, Tony Cragg, Sean Scully, Alex Katz, Anish Kapoor, Jan Fabre, Olaf Metzel, Jorinde Voigt, Natalia Załuska, Isca Greenfield-Sanders, or Gregor Hildebrandt – as well as many other exhibitions of young artists. We also recall the lively, enriching interaction with visitors and customers, as well as many unique moments that will remain unforgettable – for us, and hopefully for you as well. In this spirit, we look forward all the more to seeing you again in the main gallery at 15 Georgenstraße, where our commitment will naturally remain evident in the future. Yours, Bernd Klüser, Julia Klüser and the gallery team.
