Info

Alexander Laner (*1974 in Munich) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Olaf Metzel, graduating as a master student in 2004.

His sculptures, installations, and performances combine industrial materials with everyday objects. Central themes include contrasts such as technology and romanticism, function and poetry—often accompanied by music, movement, and staging.

He has received several awards, including the Villa Romana Prize (2005), the City of Munich Art Prize (2005), and the Bavarian Art Promotion Prize (2011).
