Info

Anne and Patrick Poirier are a French artist duo who have been working together since the 1960s. Both studied at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris and were fellows at the Villa Medici in Rome from 1969 to 1971.

Their work includes installations, drawings, photographs, and architectural models. Central themes include memory, transience, ruins, cultural memory, and the fragility of knowledge. They combine real and imagined spaces, often with archaeological or fragmentary references.

Anne & Patrick Poirier have participated in numerous international exhibitions, including documenta 6 (1977) and several editions of the Venice Biennale (1976, 1980 and 1984). Their work has been shown in museums such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts d’Orléans and the Museum Ludwig Koblenz.
